Chanel Santiago is the Veteran Outreach Program Specialist at the Norristown Vet Center. She is responsible for getting out in the community and informing Vets, their families, and organizations that support Vets about Vet Center Services. Her coverage area includes Montgomery and Chester Counties.

The Vet Center provides readjustment counseling services to combat/conflict era Vets, survivors of military sexual trauma (harassment or assault), members on active duty, guard, or reserves, and their families. The center can also provide Marriage and Family Counseling as well as Bereavement Counseling. Veterans can receive individual and group counseling depending on their comfort level.

Chanel also spent 7 years in the US Army as a transportation specialist. She started in the Virginia
Army National Guard and was placed on active duty at Ft. Eustis in response to Operation Iraqi Freedom in 2003. Her unit was deployed to Iraq and completed supply missions while putting in over 1 million miles while in country with no casualties. Upon returning home in 2004 Chanel moved to Pennsylvania, obtained her MBA, married her then boyfriend, and now has 2 beautiful sons. She resides in Lafayette Hill.
