GPVN was founded by Navy Veteran (Search and Rescue Swimmer), Alex Archawski.
Alex had to transition twice out of the service (from active duty and the reserves). Both times he needed to look for a new job. He has been sharing his job searching experiences and successes with those who have been transitioning out of the military back to the Greater Philadelphia area. He repeatedly served as a mentor for Veterans, assisting them in developing and executing a job searching plan, networking strategy and end result is to connect them with local professional veterans in various industries.
In 2010, he created GPVN to formalize a robust program, which involves career services (help define career, job search strategy, networking plan and resume writing).
Alex has also developed programs for companies to help them better understand how to hire our veterans. GPVNs initiatives include: Take a Vet to Work Day, Veteran Open House, Speed Networking & Interviewing For Student Veterans, Veteran Shark Tank, How To Hire Our Veterans (round table), Take An Employer To Base Day and other impactful programs. He is a frequent subject matter speaker at veteran hiring events, human resources conferences and on campus with student veteran groups.
GPVN is able to accomplish its mission, due to the passion and commitment of its volunteers, mentors, committees, board & advisory board and more importantly the support of local businesses and civic leaders.
Alex works full time with Sales Evolution as a Sales Trainer / Sales Coach.
